| Healthy Snacks |

The Welsh Assembly Government indicated that daily snacks which children bring into school should only be fruit, vegetables and water. This is based upon healthy eating research. As a healthy school we ask you to consider the snacks which are sent into school. |

We, the children of Bishop Childs V.A Church in Wales Primary School would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our school. We would love you to come and see for yourselves what a learning, sharing and caring environment we have!

Ethos Statement
Church in Wales schools are designated through the Religious Character of Schools (Designation Procedure) as having a religious character.
The following ethos statement has been adapted in all Church in Wales schools:
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church in Wales and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practise. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
Vision Statement
The Bishop Childs V.A Primary School Vision is a simple statement of the type of school we wish to see guided by the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. In some aspects it is a refection of what we have already achieved; in others it is a statement of how we would like to develop the School. Overall it is the common aim for everything we do from preparing lessons, to working with the children, to recruiting new staff, to improving the facilities. The aim of the vision is for each child to have opportunities to achieve their full potential in their academic, creative, personal, physical, moral and spiritual development.
Since our aim is for our Christian Faith to pervade all that we do, Christ is our lead in our Vision Statement.
C for the Church family, children, community, parents, Governors & Staff to work together to support our caring Church school family.
H for happiness in Christ - travelling towards achieving learning challenges both personal and as a school.
R for respect given through our common faith and recieved by all, who enter our school where children and adults feel they make a contribution and are valued as individuals.
I for individuals who in the Lord are supported with a positive wellbeing goal and a stimulating learning experience.
S for sharing skills and having the strength of mind we see in Christ the teacher never to give up, and so become life long learners in an ever changing technological world.
T for trust in Jesus as our guide to be the best we can be in our learning and our lives.
